My Story

My toddler was taken from my arms in our local grocery store in a thwarted child trafficking abduction & 60+ million people read (even before IG was a thing, guys) my caution. Parents want facts. Period.

Three more unsettling crises and I would learn that trauma writes itself into flesh after my body's 1st miscarriage. When no expert could identify why my very being didn't "feel right" anymore, I decided to figure it out myself.

A few weeks ago, when I was again in the ER, I questioned whether a “last straw” post was necessary then. Publicly sharing private concerns makes me uncomfortable, and yet how else do I engage believers I know will pray?

My health is not good. 😕

Worse than I’ve often let on and likely shocking to those who don’t yet know.

Finishing my helpful degree, radically employing what I learned, dropping weight, and living an improved lifestyle these few years is often three steps forward followed by five steps back. Aaron and I have been to doctors and specialists all over the country, have visited the Healing Rooms in Spokane, gotten excited over answers, stepped down in many places, and been prayed for by some beautiful people.

Iow, our life has changed. You might be able to empathize with being in a low place. Not losing faith…but exhausted from the fight. 🏳️🏳️🏳️🏳️

It is time for reinforcements. ❤️

Aaron, traveling with our boys, meant a solo ambulance ride and arranging 2 AM childcare this morning…during an attack. I can’t, folks. Bible open, I sat in this hospital bed for four hours, worshipping, recounting any of my missteps, and asking God what I’ve overlooked -> in Him. Somewhere in Psalms, it felt like *one* of His revelations was: my PRIDE.

A gentle reminder that less means more. That weakness is strength. And I’m to invite and welcome help. From God, too. 😉

It’s like my faith stopped at *my* ceiling. I was good knowing my abilities were Plan B if God decided “not to pull through”. But, what about the BIG prayers? The healing you nor I can manufacture? When you are helpless?

Very humbly, I’d love the opportunity to pray for you. And, I’d ask as I come to your mind that you’d say a prayer specifically for my health. How freeing to ask without hesitation! Thank you so very much, and know I’m returning the blessing. 🙏🏻

👎🏻Christians are weary of being offered pills instead of purpose, never-ending talk therapy instead of taking it to Jesus, and short-lived, punchy highlights instead of everlasting hope. A worldview without Christ can only treat symptoms, not souls.

✋Yet dismissing “brain wellness” altogether misses something vital. The mind is not a secular accessory; it is a God-designed instrument; fragile, formational, and capable of being renewed.

The Truth: Faith and Wellness Aren’t Rivals: They Are Reinforcements of One Another.

This is an exciting time. #motherbraintheology is being considered by a large publishing house as we speak.

What really goes on in the life of an author?
Is impostor syndrome and writer’s block real or is it more sitting down to the sunshine pouring in your big glass window and turning out page after page of what’s already on your heart?

I’d say it’s likely both. Writers know that words are powerful, but Christian writers know the Bible elevates them as paramount! “It is finished” changed the world and 66 books is still leaving its mark. If what we say matters, the mantle of choosing the right words is a calling I don’t take lightly.

When I sit down, I think to myself, “Lord, what do I put on this page that will really matter to the reader? What will change their life, make them a better mother, a whole person, and provide a truer understanding of who you are?”

So today, if you sat down to write a book yourself, what would you say? What is your message?

For me, it’s the trinity of neuroscience, Jesus, and motherhood. Here’s to the next adventure! #motherbrain

Our oldest told us recently he felt called to politics and pastoring.

No, we never know what the future holds. From the moment we hold them in the delivery room, we just pray, trust, and try.

Our five kids are literally the best gift @AaronFlorczykowski and I have ever received. Even on the hard days, we reassure them that of all the kids in heaven, “We are so glad God picked the ones He did for us!” 😉 we pray they always remember this little quip!

Give a shout out to the man, the myth, the legend… A huge congratulations to our oldest, Jay, who starts college today as a dually enrolled, junior!

God is in control. Nothing is surprising. We trust the Lord, even in our grief. And yet there is this swell of Hope that is burdening. We feel God‘s kingdom rising in us for the occasion, the Saints, unable to sit quietly, burning with this desire to pray, to gather, and to go forth in Jesus name!

I share the sentiment of every month I have spoken to in the last 48 hours.

God is in control. Nothing is surprising. We trust the Lord, even in our grief. And yet there is this swell of Hope that is burdening. We feel God‘s kingdom rising in us for the occasion, the Saints, unable to sit quietly, burning with this desire to pray, to gather, and to go forth in Jesus name!

👯‍♀️I love being able to publicly honor and this mom and friend is well deserving.

A few weeks ago I found myself in a pinch when a contractor had to cancel days before a big event. I was undone by Jeanette Elizabeth Smiles willingness to step in and just…help. On a moment’s notice. And for no other reason than being the hands and feet of Jesus to a fellow mom in need.

You and Rachel Tiller have been a gift to Able.Moms and I pray the greatest year over Faraday STEM Academy; the only school of its kind in the ATX area.

☀️I know firsthand the hard work of stepping out into a calling. But “If you can do the Thing without God, the dream is too small.” Keeping praying and dreaming BIG!

👯‍♀️I love being able to publicly honor and this mom and friend is well deserving.

🤔 I too am curious of the context and credibility of these stats, but even if accurate, who would not want a FULL life over a self-preserved one? And performance is our aim?

Marriage is like running any other race. There is sacrifice, struggle, the strain on your body…and yet the reward of winning.

I had an immensely successful career, left, built a non-profit from scratch, completed my masters in Neuroscience, am writing my third book (Mother Brain Theology). This “performance” all cost me, too. It was hard won success. And yet, my 5 children and my husband are my greatest wins. GREATEST. Family is far superior to any fleeting award-night stage I stood on or clean house.

Bc nothing compares to the satisfaction of what you build inside your own four walls. And nothing hurts like not building.

“The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down.” Proverbs 14:1

Anti-family is a twisted lie that permeates.

As a brain researcher, it’s proven your body was not designed for solidarity. And no dating relationship can mimic covenant.

Yes, even with the best partner, you have bad days and your commitment before God sustains you both…and grows you into better spouses who both arrive at the alter imperfect.

Without Jesus Christ as your plumb line of truth, we are susceptible to jargon that destroys families instead of builds them. Go build a family and live a life worth living. ❤️

And for every divorcee, struggling to make sense of it. Don’t buy the lie. Lean in to our great God. Pray for your children. Learn from your past. And know the road ahead and your past is no surprise to God. He has and will not forsake you in either.

When our Able.Moms team prayed last year, we collectively felt God tell us to host our next Mom Comm event in…the Hill Country.

Chicago, Florida…and year three, the Holy Spirit prompted us to stay locally?

YES. God knew moms would need hope, a hand, and a shoulder to cry on. One day of deep, refreshing communion with Him at what attendees have said, “Is the most spirit-filled event I have ever been to.“

God foreknew!

And our mission is to comfort every mom, making sense of this side of heaven or even seeking. We hold space for her August 23rd.

BUT‼️We could NEVER now ask moms to pay for their tickets. (Yet we must pay every vendor or worker who has accepted putting this event on with us.)
